The BSD600 Ascent is the fourth generation of the ever-popular BSD600 series, optimized for molecular assay preparation. Outfitted with a dual punch head, two separate punch sizes may be chosen to meet sub-sampling specifications. The sample aliquot can be punched into plates or tubes with sample integrity backed by plate image documentation and an internal ionizer and humidifier for static mitigation. The BSD600 Ascent A2 features the automatic pattern punching coupled with the light targeting system which allows the user to easily punch multiple disks from each sample. The light targeting system illuminates the punching pattern on the sample card aiding the user to visually position the card for optimal punching. The automatic pattern punching feature results in increased laboratory throughput by automatically punching multiple disks that are evenly spaced apart on each sample spot.
